CORPORATE VENTURE CAPITAL – A SURVIVAL ANALYSIS OF PORTFOLIO COMPANIES
The research objective of this paper is to analyse the survival of corporate venture capital (CVC) portfolio companies in German speaking countries, their risk of failure and their probability of surviving the early stages in the lifecycle. In this context, the potential influence of certain specific attributes of the CVC providing firm, the investment itself, and the venture environment, on the portfolio company’s probability of surviving, shall be identified.
